We're looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious AZ Flatbed Driver to join our clients logistics team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of a variety of products to our valued customers, ensuring a positive and professional experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, flexibility with shifts, and the potential for overnight runs.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely at all times.
- Deliver and unload a diverse range of products to customer job sites, including commercial and industrial cladding, metal roofing, floor decking, doors, and windows.
- Pick up products from various vendors, including coils from steel mills and external storage.
- Transfer products between company locations.
- Maintain open and courteous communication with customers and job site personnel.
- Perform daily pre-use inspections on all equipment.
- Accurately maintain electronic and paper logs.
- Represent the company professionally by wearing the company uniform.
- Operate truck-mounted forklifts safely (with in-house certification).
- Stay in continuous contact with logistics personnel throughout the day.
- Complete overnight runs as needed (3-4 runs a week)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ license in good standing with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Forklift experience mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment.
- Willingness to obtain in-house certification for truck-mounted forklifts.
- Experience delivering to construction sites is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Regular use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operation of various tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Extended periods of sitting.
- Ability to lift, move, or manipulate objects up to 25 kilograms.
