Local and Regional drivers needed for hybrid role!
Our client is recognized as one of Canada’s top employers! We are looking for Class 1 drivers to join their team.
Duties of the Class 1 driver role:
- Class 1 drivers will be hauling food products around Western Canada including parts of Ontario.
- Drop offs will typically be to unmanned trailers or bins where the driver will need to offload cases via dolly. Dolly will hold 14 boxes at a time. Driver will need to push, pull, grab, lift etc.
- Products include snacks & chips. Average case weight is 4 kgs.
- Drivers will be making between 2/3 trips/week. On the road for 5 days, home for 2 consecutive days. Travelling as far as 2000 kms away from home terminal. Most drivers leave Sunday, come home Thursday.
- New automatic Freightliners with sleepers. Both 53’ & LCV trailers available. Paid training on LCV available.
Requirements for the Class 1 driver role:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license in good standing with a safe driving record
- Driver will need to work in all weather conditions.
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience
- Driver will need to pass a background & Functional abilities text.
Schedule:
- This position will be based out of Kelowna, BC and will be required to work locally in Kelowna with a combination of 2-day and 3-day over-the-road runs to Lethbridge each week. The assigned runs will be dependent on current business needs. The work schedule is Sunday to Thursday.
- On an average driver will be offloading 4 trailers per week
Wage information for the AZ Delivery Driver Role:
- Employer Funded Retirement Plan, RRSP Matching, and full benefit package
- Excellent salary/wages including extra pay for LCV, specific runs, KM’s, and cases.
- Drivers can make up to $100,000/year.
- $35.85/hr local delivery (working within 160 km of Kelowna)
- 0.3394/km willbe paid at componenet rate (when working outside of 160km radius)+ $0.040/BC KM
