Our client is a leader in middle mile delivery. We are looking for CDL Class A truck drivers to drive in both autonomous and manual modes moving goods on short-haul B2B routes.
Job Details:
- Safely operate 26ft (or longer) trucks along local Springdale routes for on-time deliveries to retail customers.
- Support customers and teams by acting as an ambassador for the company and being a versatile team member who communicates effectively on Slack, tracks and reviews job-related data, and performs ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Take care of your assigned state-of-the art vehicle by keeping it clean, performing daily safety checks (e.g., monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure and hose connections), and notifying the team for repair as needed.
- Complete route testing by collaborating with software/hardware engineers and operations team members regarding collection/drop-off processes and procedures.
- Provide vehicle performance feedback to the operations and engineering teams
NOTE: the vehicles are currently being driven in manual mode with the aim of moving toward autonomous operations.
Schedule and Pay:
- Pay rate is $26-$29 based on experience
- 9-10 hrs shift on average
- Starting window 6:30 AM- 1:30 AM
- No runs on Sundays
Requirements:
- 3+ years possessing a valid CDL A driver’s license
- 3+ years recent (within the last 5 years) delivery driving experience
- Middle mile delivery experience (e.g. warehouse to fulfillment center/dock to dock)
- 25+ years old with a clean background check, drug screen and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Willing and able to work flexible hours on both weekdays and weekends
- Customer relationship management experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and proactive, possessing solid mechanical aptitude/basic mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills including the ability to learn and successfully use applications
