CDL A Truck Driver - OTR
Our client is a leading provider in the transformer and electrical equipment industry. We are looking for dedicated and experienced CDL A Truck Drivers to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate flatbed trailer
- Looking for 2 OTR drivers
- 1 driver starts in Twinsburh, OH that would be moving between Kentucky to OH to drop and swap trailers
- second drivers will be staying mostly in Ohio
- Will be out for 1-3 nights at once depending on load
- Expected 2-3 trips per week
- Sleeper truck provided or accommodation is arranged by company
- Facilities open at 6:00 AM, Deliveries will be after that so start time depends on location of delivery.
- Transport transformers, electrical equipment, and oil in totes or tanker trailers.
- No hand bombing required.
- Use a manual transmission truck (specific speed not provided).
- Load and unload using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly and safely.
- Follow all safety regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL A license.
- Experience driving flatbed, dry van, and tanker trailers.
- Proficiency with manual transmission trucks.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes (training can be provided).
- Must have HazMat endorsement.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday with weekends off.
- Start and finish times may vary, but drivers are typically home on weekends.
- Rare weekend runs may be required.
Compensation:
- $0.60/MILE. Hourly wage ranging from $28 to $32 when not driving, negotiable based on experience.
- Most drivers earn over $100,000 annually.
