Our client, since early 1980s is working on sustainability, developing the best negative carbon solutions with vision to modernize the industry and help build a cleaner world through a pledge of responsible disposal and the technology sophisticated enough to realize it.Since then, they have sustainably diverted over half a billion tons of waste from landfills.
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a commercial driver for hybrid role to safely pick up and transport waste to designated locations
- Technician is responsible for the clean up and transportation of Hazardous and Non- Hazardous waste
- Loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids
- Sorting and handling of hazardous and nonhazardous waste products to ensure proper identification, treatment and processing of the waste
- Perform or coordinate sampling, lab analysis, and data entry as required.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including but not limited to pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, power tools, hydro blast equipment, skid loader, specialty vacuum equipment, etc., with minimal direct supervision.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Secure cargo prior to and during transport.
- Lead a team on small daily confined space projects, communicating effectively with the Hazardous Materials Supervisor and onsite customers.
- Work daily in confined spaces, utilizing various tools such as mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic and electrical tools, and others as needed.
- OSHA Certification is an asset
- Pay rate $28-$31 based on experience
Requirements:
• Completed CES Field Services Technician I training or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience required, preferably in environmental services
• Valid Class G Drivers License.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies, OHSA requirements, and all local, provincial, and federal laws.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Motor Vehicle Report, previous employment, and criminal history records review.
• Travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs
