Essential Functions:
- Payroll/Billing
- Maintain Account payable log
- Maintain attendance/vacation record
- Complies with all Safety Maintenance and Compliance. DOT log review, preparation and submission. Conducts Safety Training/Orientations. First point of contact for collisions and injuries.
- Participate in Safety meetings with management
- Handles customer requests; identifies and acknowledge any customer issues if needed. Serve as point of contact between hourly personnel and management. elevates any employee relations problems as necessary. Quality Control. Dispatch/Routing. Communications with drivers, such as location updates, settlement reports, and weekly pay stubs. Responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) (e.g., supply, costs, etc.)
- KPI reporting to management
- Additional job duties as assigned/required
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 pm to 6 am.weekends as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- H.S. diploma /GED required
- One year or more Warehouse, Transportation, Logistics or a distribution and customer service environment experience required
- Knowledge/experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (e.g. shipping, receiving, inventory management, distribution or dispatch) intermediate preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse, software applications, routing and dispatching software applications intermediate preferred
- Understanding of DOT, OSHA and all other safety related regulations strongly preferred intermediate preferred
- Other Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Other Ability to work independently and as member of a team
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, multitasking and time management skills
- Detail oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills
