- We are looking for a class 3 driver to operate a semi-truck in the Western Montreal area.
- Safely and professionally operate a semi-truck at all times
- Deliver products to customers on time while providing excellent customer service.
- Transfer materials and items from the trailer to the dock area or other designated area by hand or using a manual cart or electric pallet jack.
- Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, returns, etc.
- Maintain daily records and comply with all other provincial transportation regulations/procedures.
- Perform pre-departure and post-arrival inspections of the tractor/trailer, following provincial regulations.
- Use an industrial pallet jack.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Undertake other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Drives a truck safely and professionally at all times
• Delivers products to customers on time, while providing full customer service
• Transfers materials and articles from the trailer to the dock area or other designated area by hand or by means of a hand truck or an electric or manual pallet jack
• Communicates with customers regarding deliveries, returns, etc.
• Keeps daily records and complies with all other provincial transportation regulations/procedures
• Performs pre-departure and arrival checks of tractor/trailer units, in accordance with provincial regulations
• Uses an industrial pallet lifter
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Assumes other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a valid class 3 driver's license
• Must have a valid driver's record
• Preferably 3 years of commercial transportation experience or certification from a recognized truck driving school
• Ability to drive a semi-trailer truck safely and efficiently
• Know all provincial transportation regulations
• Ability to correctly read and interpret shipping manifests and invoices
• Ability and willingness to work various routes and overtime as assigned by supervisor
Hours and Wage:
- 5 days a week Monday - Friday at this time.
- Start time is 6 am and depending on the day and delivery locations, the end time varies.
- We offer a competitive hourly rate of $26
