Our client is proud to be a leading provider of storage pick-up in Toronto and surrounding areas through their Door to Door plan.
- We are looking for G class drivers to operate a 26' truck.
- Driver will need 1+ year of driving experience.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Driving company vehicles to destinations throughout the GTA loading, transporting, delivering items to and from client residences or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
- Must be able to lift and move furniture such as Sofas, Tables, Mattresses, chests w/ driver helpers!
- Offloading items designated for storage by clients into storage areas or storage units.
- Reviewing daily scheduled pick up and drop off appointments to determine the most efficient routes of travel.
- Perform accurate inventory recording of items received from and returned to clients. This will include manual tracking on hard copy documents, photographing of items, and tracking on operational system software, and assisting clients when required with placing of labels.
- Producing and issuing hard copy and soft copy documents through operational system software.
- Communications with clients via phone, text messaging, Email.
- Service interaction touch points can include – Client registrations, delivery and pick-up scheduling confirmations, appointment reminders, missed appointments, competition of appointments. Service interactions touch points may be amended according to business requirements.
- Perform daily safety inspections on company vehicles. Fuelling, fluid top-ups, maintain sanitation and cleanliness of company vehicles.
- Assisting facility managers at designated home base location with facility maintenance duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping of storage units, restrooms, loading area, common and office areas. Assist with moving and disposal of items with as required.
- Working hours can range between the hours of 8:00am – 11:00pm. Shifts will be 8 hours a day with the potential of extra hours depending on workflow.
- Comply with company policies, maintain professional appearance, adhere to company dress code.
- Other job-related tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and or his/her designate.
- Full time job. Driver MUST work either Saturday OR Sunday each week
