DZ Driver – Local & Short-haul Cross-Border
We are currently seeking a professional DZ Licensed Truck Driver for one of our top transportation clients in the Hamilton area. This role is dedicated to serving a critical healthcare contract, delivering essential medical linens to facilities in Buffalo, NY, and the Greater Hamilton Area.

The Opportunity

Position: DZ Driver (5-Ton Straight Truck)

Base Hub: Hamilton, ON

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Early morning starts, approx. 6:00 AM)
The Route:

Tues/Wed/Thurs: Cross-border runs to Buffalo, NY (2 crossings per day) to service medical facilities.

Mon/Fri: Local Hamilton-area runs to regional clinics and hospitals.

Hours: Typically 40 – 50 hours per week.
Compensation & Pay Structure

Total Rate: $27.50/hr (Inclusive of a $25.00 base rate + $25.00 border premium).

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 44 hours.

Immediate Start: Our client is looking to fill this role urgently to meet a specific contract start date.
Key Responsibilities

Cross-Border Delivery: Safely navigate the border twice daily on scheduled days, ensuring all documentation is in order.

Inside Deliveries: This is not just "drop and hook." You will be responsible for "inside deliveries," moving linen carts into clinics and hospitals at their designated drop points.

Vehicle Maintenance: Perform standard pre/post-trip inspections on a 5-ton straight truck.

Professionalism: Act as the face of the company while interacting with hospital loading dock staff and medical personnel.
Required Qualifications

License: Valid DZ Driver’s License with a clean abstract and CVOR.

Border Readiness: Valid FAST Card is highly required. Applicants must have a valid Passport and the ability to enter the United States.

Physical Ability: Must be comfortable with the physical nature of "inside deliveries" (maneuvering linen carts).

Punctuality: Reliable attendance is mandatory given the time-sensitive nature of medical supplies.
