Class 3 Truck Driver – Residential Waste Collection - Dartmouth, NS.
We’re hiring Class 3 licensed drivers for residential curbside waste collection in the Dartmouth, NS area. This is a great opportunity for drivers who don’t mind staying active and enjoy working outdoors.
Position Overview:
- In this role, you’ll operate a residential waste collection truck while also assisting with the physical collection of curbside waste and recycling materials. Drivers work as part of a small crew and are responsible for completing assigned routes safely and efficiently.
Schedule & Pay:
- Start time: 6:00 a.m.
- Typical shift: 10–12 hours per day
- Pay rate: $25.51
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a DZ-licensed waste collection vehicle safely and responsibly
- Collect and load residential waste, recycling, and organic materials from curbside
- Ensure completion of daily route within established time frames
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 licence (or equivalent)

Physically capable of repetitive lifting, bending, and climbing in/out of truck throughout the day
- Minimum age 18+
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and safety
- Previous waste or driving experience is an asset but not required
