DZ Truck Driver – Residential Waste Collection - Markham, ON
About the Role
We’re looking for dependable, safety-minded DZ Driver/Loaders to join our residential waste collection team. You’ll be out in the community each day helping keep neighbourhoods clean, healthy, and running smoothly. If you enjoy being active, working outdoors, and driving for a living, this is a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive a DZ truck and collect residential waste streams — including yard waste, recycling, green bin organics, and garbage.
- Provide friendly, reliable service to residents and represent our team with professionalism.
- Safely load and unload materials (up to 50 lbs) into the truck hopper.
- Make 800+ stops per day while keeping to your route schedule.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and municipal guidelines to keep yourself and others safe.
- Treat co-workers, supervisors, and the public with respect — and return emptied bins neatly to the curb in the same spot.
What We’re Looking For
- A valid DZ driver’s licence.
- A clean driver’s abstract and CVOR.
- Someone who’s reliable, team-oriented, and committed to safety.
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and outdoor work in all weather.
- Knowledge of basic Health & Safety standards is an asset.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 AM start
Pay Rate: $28.18 per hour
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Route Supervisor
