DZ Truck Driver - Tanker - Direct-hire
  • A leading propane supplier in Ontario, committed to safety and providing reliable propane delivery services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers, is seeking a skilled and dependable AZ or DZ Truck Driver to join their team.

Position Summary
  • In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of propane to various locations, including homes, businesses, mines, and construction sites. You will load and unload propane into the bulk truck and customer containers, while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service.
  • This is a full-time position that is seasonal in nature, with increased hours typically required during the busy period of October through May. The current seasonal contract runs until May 2026, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver propane to customer locations in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required MTO and company documentation.
  • Visually inspect customer propane tanks to ensure they are in proper condition for product storage; report any concerns or needed repairs.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships, professionally representing the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding the handling and delivery of propane.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs as needed, and keep equipment clean and orderly.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class AZ or DZ commercial driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record (must not contain convictions of any disqualifying offenses).
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission.
  • High school diploma.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job (e.g., multiple stops, getting in and out of the truck, pulling delivery hose).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read maps and follow route directions.
  • No previous propane experience necessary.

Schedule & Compensation
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent/Seasonal
  • Shifts: Day shift, consisting of either 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per day or 4 shifts per week at 10 hours per day.
  • Overtime: Long hours and overtime may be required during peak seasons (October to May) to meet operational needs.
  • Salary Range: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Bonus: Eligible for an end-of-season bonus.
