AZ DRIVER - LOCATION: PEFFERLAW
About our client: For over 40 years, our client has been manufacturing and delivering siding, roofing, eavestroughs all over the GTA.
- We have an immediate opening available for a full-time AZ driver to deliver products to our customers across Southern Ontario.
- Temp2perm position
- Mostly operating a 48' dry van trailer, but also straight trucks with 26’ dry van bodies
- This position will report to our plant located in Pefferlaw, Ontario. Duties to include but not limited to the following:
- Provide professional, friendly service to our customers
- Deliver products according to daily driving schedule
- Loading and unloading products
- Perform daily inspections on truck and report any deficiencies to manager
- maintain driver log and all records and documents required in compliance with Canadian provincial and federal regulations
- general warehouse duties as required
- 7am starts - 4/5pm
We are looking for the right candidate who meets the following criteria:
- minimum of 3 years’ accident-free AZ commercial driving experience
- possesses a clean driving record
- Efficient in using road maps and navigation equipment as necessary
- Capable of heavy lifting
- Strong communication skills. Must be able to represent our company with professionalism at all times
- Good time management skills, highly organized
- Forklift experience (an asset)
- Willing and able to work overtime
The driver must be able to complete the following:
- Provide letter of experience from insurance company of previous employer(s) to cover the 3 years
- Completed driver supplementary information form
